Bat Walks And Other Nature Events

NEW WALKS ADDED FOR 2011!

Bat walks are a great way to get to see these shy animals and also to hear their echolocation calls. Sometimes the walk guides let you operate the bat detectors yourself, which can be a lot of fun.

The Lee Valley Bat Group has got loads of walks on this year. Download their 2011 Walk Diary to find when and where they're going to take place.

Lubee Bat Conservancy run tours of their research and conservation centre in Florida, U.S.A. These need to be booked at least 4 weeks in advance of the date you'd like to visit.

The centre houses different types of fruit bat and sounds amazing, hope I get to go there one day :-)

Do you know of any other walks that are taking place? It'd be great to hear about events in other parts of the UK and the world. So if you do, please send me the details and I'll post them here.
